4. Program Registrations

When registering for programs or events:

• You agree to provide accurate participant information
• Registration contributions support our educational and charitable programs
• Member recognition may apply to certain registration types
• Vendor booth registrations require additional business information
• Some events may require waiver/agreement acceptance before registration
• Refund policies are specific to each program and will be stated during registration
• We reserve the right to modify or cancel programs with reasonable notice

5. Donations & Contributions

Flint Islamic Center is a Michigan nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3). EIN available upon request.

All donations and membership contributions made through our platform are voluntary charitable contributions to Flint Islamic Center. Membership contributions directly support our charitable mission and are not payments for goods or commercial services.

To the extent that any incidental benefits are provided to members, they are of insubstantial value under IRS guidelines. No portion of membership contributions is designated as payment for software, digital services, or commercial access.

Contribution receipts will be provided for tax purposes. Refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

All payments made through our platform are processed by Stripe, Inc., a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. By making a payment, you agree to the following terms:

6. FIC Community Sales (Marketplace)

The FIC Community Sales feature allows community members to buy, sell, and share items with fellow members. By using this feature, you agree to the following:

Access Levels

• Browsing: Anyone can browse listings without signing in
• Interacting: Logged-in users can message sellers and express interest in items
• Listing Items: Only verified FIC members can create listings

Listing Guidelines

• All listings are subject to review and approval before going live
• Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings
• FIC does not guarantee, endorse, or verify any listings
• Listings automatically expire after 30 days unless renewed
• Sellers may optionally donate a percentage of their sale to FIC

Transactions & Liability

• All transactions are strictly between buyers and sellers
• FIC is not a party to any transaction and bears no liability for disputes
• Users are responsible for verifying item quality before completing transactions
• FIC does not process payments for marketplace transactions (except optional donations)
• Meeting for item exchange is at your own risk; we recommend public meeting locations

Reporting & Moderation

Users can report listings that violate our guidelines. FIC reserves the right to:

• Remove any listing without notice
• Suspend or ban users who violate marketplace policies
• Cooperate with law enforcement when required

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services
• Upload malicious content or code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Collect user information without consent

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Flint Islamic Center or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. YouTube content is subject to YouTube's terms and the respective content creators' rights.

9. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Third-party content, including YouTube videos, is subject to the availability and terms of those platforms.

11. Limitation of Liability

Flint Islamic Center shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for any specific service.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Genesee County, Michigan.
